When, two young engineers and robotics enthusiasts, met in 2004. The adventure started when Balyo’s future founders teamed up to automate a custom material handling truck for a large industrial glass company. With this first project the co-founders saw the validation of the technology and the confirmation of a very large market opportunity. In 2005, on the back of this first success, they founded Balyo in 2005.
Early on, the company designed its own automatic trucks. Realizing the limited added-value in the underlying truck, the company evolved towards a navigation module concept, focusing on the flexibility and cost savings that intelligent robotisation can bring. This is now a reality, allowing for the robotisation of trucks ranging from pallet jacks, to stackers, tractors, reach trucks, etc.
